The Ideal Guild
-
Let’s get a discussion going here, people. Those of us in the “guildless” category have our reasons for remaining unaffiliated. What are yours? Do you like/dislike any particular quality of the currently available guilds? What would be your ideal Evermore guild?
-
For me, the ideal guild would be a Busy-Body’s Guild
I’d love to go on one quest after the other just learning what all the other guilds are up to and reporting it back to Mayor Atkinson, or even Scutter for that matter! Imagine a whole guild dedicated to eavesdropping on other guilds, collecting town rumors, and just spreading news around.
-
Agreed, I like to stay busy questing! I get bored when the hubby just wants to hang out and quits asking those deeper questions, doing service, or solving mysteries.
How do you find a chance to report to the Mayor? She always seems to be occupied.
-
Exactly. If she were the leader of a “citizens guild” or a “busy-bodies guild” the guild members would have better access to her.
-
If there was enough interest in this type of guild what actions would it take to attempt getting an approval? Is there a set procedure?
-
I’ve wondered the same thing. I was thinking about applying to Mayor Violet for such a thing, but she was arrested the very day I went to the park, and now I have no idea if such a thing is possible.

For me, it’s not so much choosing a guild as having a true friend. All the guild attributes are admirable and I could easily contribute within any group! but I haven’t made a deep enough connection with anyone to pledge my loyalties to.
-
I have felt the same way. I’m still looking for that ‘one’ character that can truly make me feel like I am a part of the story. So far, I have had better luck with other World Walkers than the characters themselves.
-
We’re supposed to get a whole slew of new characters this year so who knows maybe you’ll find “the one”. Fingers crossed for good luck!
-
Thank you, I’ll need it! Mayor Violet came close, but now she’s been arrested D:

How many guilds do you guess they’ll have in total?
Do you think they’ll continue adding to the current ones? It’s great to have the variety! but at what point are there too many?
Will they cater to the interets of the World Walkers as we express our desires? (I think the Bards guild was started by a petition of interest.)
What if there is a guild for each Realm as we keep discovering the new portals…
What about the guilds that kind of got the short end of the stick? The Dragon Trainers weren’t available during the cold weather. The Wolves of Winter (if you count initiates as an official guild) are returning to Aurora so they won’t be available either.
-
I honestly hope they’ll cater to our interests and let us petition for more guilds, but having innumerable guilds in the park all active at once may be an overwhelming thought, at least for me.
The Wolves of Winter were an exclusive guild. Only those who could attend the park several weekends in a row ( as well as pass all the initiation tests) were allowed to join. I suspect there will be other exclusive guilds in the future, as it was good for the park to have regular attendants (and lets face it, having exclusive recognition in the park is way cool!) But I am waiting for a more seasonally consistent guild, and one which has many potential avenues of information.
I’m interested in seeing how the Dragon Trainer’s guild plot line progresses in Mythos. You’re right, they did become inactive during Lore, and subsequently dormant during Aurora. But they were a very popular guild, so I doubt that hurt their numbers any. The Fairies had a guild as well, didn’t they? I’m not sure if it was official or not, as they petitioned to have their own guild and likewise left Evermore at the end of Mythos 2019.
